Face lift not healing - Monday, December 29, 2008 4:20 PM
I had a lower facelift on October 16, 2008. The incisions in front of each ear will appear to close, but then will re-open, bleed and scab again. How do I care for this? All I've been told to do is put antibiotic ointment on it. It's been over 10 weeks. Is this common? Should I visit another surgeon?

you should have healed by now. It is possible that the sutures are spitting which means that the sutures placed in the deeper layers of the incision are being rejected by your body and pushed to the surface. I would see your surgeon for a consultation
