Tips for Stomach Plastic Surgery - Friday, October 10, 2008 11:46 PM
* Choose only certified clinics and make sure the surgeon has good reputation and experience.

* Get as much information as you can from the surgeon, the clinic, and the internet. Know the risks and if it's right for you.

* Be honest. Make sure you tell the surgeon everything about your health condition and also tell him if you smoke and take any pills, including: vitamins, medications, or drugs.

* It is possible to have liposuction at the same surgery, make sure you tell the surgeon about your expectations, so he will offer the best surgery for your condition.
* Don't smoke at least two weeks before and after the surgery.

* Don't over diet, eat healthy, and don't expose your stomach to the sun so the healing process will go well.

* Make sure someone comes with you to take you back home after the stomach surgery and also try to have someone help you at home a few days after the surgery.

* Pills will be given to take care of the discomfort you will experience after the stomach surgery. The stomach will be swollen and there might be pain.

* It is important to start walking as soon as possible; it will help the healing process.

Hi guys,
My name is Daniele and I'm from Canada. I have my tummy-tuck scheduled for January '09 and I'm travelling all the way to Poland to have it done. I'm happy with the medical offer I got, I like how the clinic is equipped and how it looks like in general, the location is convenient etc. But I'm currently getting a bit nervous about the whole trip .. or maybe it's excitement ? In any case, I thought I would get some support from people who chose to have their surgery abroad. I would really appreciate it.
I was also wondering if any of you by any chance heard of Medtrip.eu from Gdansk ? I actually managed to get to some of their patients that completed dental treatment and they were very satisfied, but I'm still looking for someone who had any kind of surgery with Medtrip.
If you heard anything about Medtrip, please please let me know, I would be extremely grateful !

Thank you,
Daniele
Stephanie

I have not experienced surgery abroad, but I would make sure that you discuss follow up with your surgeon and what you will do if there is a complication with the procedure after you return home. How long do you plan on staying in Poland after the procedure??

Has anyone had work done (specifically a tummy tuck?) by Dr. Stephen Beals in Scottsdale, Arizona?  A girl at my gym did and looks fantastic! I'm curious if anyone else has gone to him?

If you want to see more of his work you should check out his web site for before and after photos. Sometimes patients will also post testimonials on the web page of their plastic surgeon as well.

Bariatric surgery, also known as obesity weight reduction surgery involves surgical manipulation of the stomach to reduce food intake, and, in some cases, to reduce he absorption of calories into the body. Any person whose BMI exceeds 40 is considered morbidly obese and needs bariatric surgery. There are different types of bariatric surgery, Rates of obesity among adolescents are on the climb . Bariatric surgery is occasionally offered as a medical treatment alternative for adolescents who have a special case of extreme obesity,Abdominal plastic surgery in these cases consists of small incisions above the pubic bone. This type of abdominal plastic surgery removes fat and tightens skin and muscles below the belly button. More traditional abdominal plastic surgery reduces the size of and tightens the entire stomach area. In the traditional abdominal plastic surgery, the incisions are larger in size, and the site can take longer to heal.
