Consider an alternative: Facial Fillers
-
Wednesday, October 08, 2008 11:42 AM
Facial fillers are cheaper than a face lift and some facial fillers can last up to 10 years like Artecoll ® and Aquamid ®. Artecoll is approved in the United States by the FDA for use in Nasolabial Folds only (smile lines). Aquamid can be used to fill in other areas of the face, but is not approved by the FDA (It is undergoing trials right now) and is only available in Europe. Surgery always has the risk of death and other nasty side effects like infection. However, I'll admit facial fillers cannot replace a complete Facelift as the two are completely different. Consider your options and research as much as you can before going in for your initial consultation. I wish you the best of results in whichever path you choose.

The use of dermal fillers can be an option as they help in maintaining the beauty of the face and these are very less harmful as they can be used as the option of other fillers. And with that you should exercise you face so that it can effect more and you need not to get it done again soon. It can last to 2 years.

As a restorative surgery, a facelift does not change your fundamental appearance and cannot stop the aging process. while Dermal fillers fill in areas of your face that sink in with age, and they eliminate wrinkles and scars. Dermal fillers can make lips fuller and give your face a more youthful appearance. both has cons and pros so be wise in choosin :)

Although all surgical procedures can have a risk of death, that risk is usually very low. In fact, it is extremely rare for death to occur during or as a result of a plastic surgery procedure. Knowledge is power. The more you know about the procedure, the better you will feel. With regard to what to recommend for your friend about facial fillers, there is a lot of information you can find here on our site and on the internet in general. If you have any specific questions, I am here to help.
*Always seek the advice of your plastic surgeon, physician, or other qualified health care professional concerning treatment of your specific medical condition.
