Is it fine to have more than one procedure at a time? And if so, was is the longest recommended time to be under anesthesia?

Many people undergo multiple procedures at one time. For example, it is very common to have a tummy tuck and breast augmentation performed simultaneously. As for anesthesia, I am not sure how long is too long. The risk with general anesthesia (when you are completely asleep) is that it predisposes patients to pulmonary (breathing) complications postoperatively. The risk are very small if you are a non-smoker, and if you maintain a healthy weight. You can talk to your plastic surgeon about how long your procedure will take. You can also discuss the option of regional anesthetics used concurrently with sedating medications Hope this helps
