plastic surgery thailand - Saturday, May 14, 2011 8:24 AM
Medical tourism also referred to as health tourism or health outsourcing means traveling to other countries to obtain cheap medical, dental, and surgical care. The exorbitant costs of healthcare in industrialized nations has led to the worldwide popularity of medical tourism. More and more people are traveling abroad as an affordable and enjoyable way to undergo plastic surgery and dental procedures.

yes you are right, mostly teenagers going to abroad for that.
The number of teens who choose to get plastic surgery is on the rise. According to the ASPS, over 333,000 people 18 years and younger had plastic surgery in 2005, up from about 306,000 in 2000.
The most common procedures teens choose include nose reshaping, ear surgery, acne and acne scar treatment, and breast reduction. miami plastic surgeon

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)'s website, only 5% of all cosmetic surgical procedures performed in 2010 were performed on teenagers.  Further, most cosmetic procedures performed on teenagers in 2010 were for minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures, including laser treatment of leg veins and laser hair removal.  You may check ASPS's website for more information concerning 2010 Plastic Surgery Procedural Statistics.

Before deciding to travel abroad for plastic or cosmetic surgery, I highly recommend you read the following articles:
Cosmetic Surgery Tourism Briefing Paper on ASPS's website
Medical Tourism Is Not So Frequent and Not So Dollar Wise on The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS)'s website.
