Expensive surgery left me with no money to revise - Monday, February 14, 2011 3:28 PM
I had surgery with Dr.Paul Nassif in Beverly Hills and I have poor results after his surgery. I even developed functional problems like I started carrying a nasal dilator. I think he was too aggressive in his approach. They were too business minded in fact the price for a nosejob escalated to $21,000.00 (no rib graft prices added to this fee). Now I need a revision with another doctor and do not know where to get the money. Do you think that over expensive surgeries are added stress? I am sad, sad, sad and cry!

I'm so sorry, RhinoSpec, that should never have happened. Have you considered having reconstructive surgery abroad? I come from the Philippines, and our surgeons repair poor surgery results for only a fraction of the cost in the US. I got implants recently with excellent results--no leaking or any problems, and it's been a year and counting.

Dear Rhinospec,

I am so sorry you have had a bad experience concerning your plastic surgery.  Have you scheduled to meet with another physician concerning reconstructive surgery?  I would definitely recommend you seek someone that is board certified in plastic surgery and who has a lot of experience in rhinoplasty revisions.  Depending on your medical condition now, your insurance may cover some of the reconstructive surgery costs.

How are you doing now?

Anna
