Sexy again after surgery in southamerica - Thursday, November 04, 2010 6:56 AM
I just want to say YES YES YES!!!!!
Go and take a chance like me to change!Give you that opportunity, we live once!!!
I have a new body after 8 months, it seems a long time but it is not, I had a horrible body for about 7 years, my body changed after having my first baby and I never looked like before, isn’t that sad?
I didn’t have the time and the money to spend in a surgery, I am not rich at all so I had to live with a horrible body for all those years, you can’t imagine the nightmare it was, I got divorce, well I don’t say it was just my bodies' fault but I didn’t feel confident so was part of the big problem!
Well It would take me another 3 years to save money to have surgery here, so I decided to look for options, going abroad, of course I was afraid that something could happen to me but I was desperate! I didn’t even want to look at the mirror last year, I hated my self!Sorry to say that but I the way I felt!
So I heard Colombia was a nice country, famous for cosmetic surgery and not too expensive so I wanted to travel there until I saw a TV show telling horrible stories about people who went to Colombia, that almost made me forget about my surgery, so what I did is to look for information about Argentina and Bolivia, I found Xetica and Makeover Travel, both of them good options to me but the price of one was much cheaper than the other, I didn’t know why, then I understood that was because of the economy of the different countries, I didn’t hear a lot of things about Bolivia, well I found nice posts and bad posts about Makeover Travel, so I was confused but why to believe just in bad experiences, I know people, I understand that not everything can be perfect, but as soon as the results are ok, I didn’t care about the stupid things they say about the Hotel and the delay for the appointments, I didn’t even care what they say about seeing their results after one month(hello!!! is surgery...healing process is not magic), so what I did to feel more comfortable about my decision was to talk with some American patients who were there several months ago, of course that my assistant was the one who gave me their information but once I contacted them , one told me I could go to visit her to her city, she became a friend so she help me to take the decision to go to Bolivia, I mean hello!! paying 2600usd instead 5500usd is a huge difference! And that is just talking about the tummy tuck I also had my breast fixed(breast lift with implants),I paid about 2900 for it so at the end I think I saved  like 3000 usd, believe me is a lot of money to me!
Well I didn’t feel so nervous, of course I was crying before to the surgery because I was alone in a foreign country without my babies or anyone of my family but I knew everything was going to be ok, I just felt it!
Now after 8 months I can tell you I am a new person, I have a big scar yes!!but is better to have that and wear nice cloths, be sexy even if you are not really really perfect!

Recovery period for the tummy tuck was painful, not as I expected but painful, It’s difficult to move, then that horrible compression garment is so uncomfortable!!you can’t imagine!!I had to wear it for 1 month,I hate it !

By the way if I have to say thank you is to Cindy my assistant who was lovely before and after all this difficult trip! Also Dr.Suarez my surgeon and also to Dr.Rivera my assistant in Bolivia, all of them and the nurses (Lola,Nena and Erika)were nice with me!
They tried to do their best even if sometimes I was the worst patient!!I have to admit I was too demanding but I think is normal because in US we are used to be like that, we like everything perfect and is difficult to understand that latin people have another mentality, another way to see the life, they are never hurry, nothing is too bad to be angry! But I think American people are different.

Well this is a little bit of my experience, about my surgery, my recovery period, I hope that taking the time to share this part of my life worth it, I really hope that in some way this can help you in any decision you need to take.

Plastic surgery is a medical specialty concerned with the correction or restoration of form and function. Though cosmetic or aesthetic surgery is the best-known kind of plastic surgery, most plastic surgery is not cosmetic: plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. The word "plastic" here means 'sculpting' or 'shaping' (Greek plastikē (tekhnē) πλαστική (τέχνη) 'the art of modelling'), and does not refer to plastics in the sense of synthetic polymers. In plastic surgery, the transfer of skin tissue (skin grafting) is a very common procedure. Skin grafts can be taken from the recipient or donors:
Auto grafts are taken from the recipient. If absent or deficient of natural tissue, alternatives can be cultured sheets of epithelial cells in vitro or synthetic compounds, such as integra, which consists of silicone and bovine tendon collagen with glycosaminoglycans. Allograft are taken from a donor of the same species. Engrafts are taken from a donor of a different species. Usually, good results are expected from plastic surgery that emphasizes careful planning of incisions so that they fall in the line of natural skin folds or lines, appropriate choice of wound closure, use of best available suture materials, and early removal of exposed sutures so that the wound is held closed by buried sutures.

Some patients have almost no swelling or bruising while others may experience some for up to a few weeks.

Recovery period for the tummy tuck was painful, not as I expected but painful, It’s difficult to move, then that horrible compression garment is so uncomfortable!!you can’t imagine!!I had to wear it for 1 month,I hate it !
