My name is Jennifer. Back in the early 90's I went for eyelid surgery and from my 1st procedure, I was left with inner eyeild uneveness. I come from an extremely conversative family and wasn't looking into plastic surgeries for anything. I was at a orange county spa getting a facial when the asian lady told me that I can get the extra crease removed is when I first heard of such procedure. My siblings tried to talk me out of it.
Back in the early 1990's there were no internet and no doctors, or printed brochures from doctors' offices will tell your the cons, but only all the pros. I wanted eyelid surgery to remove an extra crease located at an angle. (the part that is close to my nose bridge). I was fortuate that I didn't get any scar at all. The scar was so minimal and you cannot even see it close up after 6 months after the surgery. I had makeup put onto my face by a professional and she coudln't see it either.
In early spring 1992, I shopped around for another doctor in hoping to fix the uneven eyelid creases which now I prefer over the massive scars I received from Dr. Richard Alan Weiss mutilation. I thought picking someone that is an eye doctor claiming to be a pro in doing eyelid surgery would be the best. This Dr. Weiss really bragged over being an oculoplastic surgeon too. He also claiimed he had asian eyelid experience. Little did I know that doctors can lied to their patients and not give them information before operating on them. Once I signed the consent to surgery form only minutes before surgery, Dr. Richard Weiss used me as a training subject. I had no idea that he will be cutting me up all over the place. I expected him to fix the inner eyelids area.
At inital consultation time, I told this doctor (Dr. Richard Alan Weiss of Newport Beach, CA) what I wanted done. At surgery, I realized he didn't listen to a word I sad and/or written anything down from inital consultation time when he asked me what I needed done when he walked into the surgery room at his office . He asked me do I want one or two eyes done?? I should have walked out cuz he acted very weird. It was so ridiculous cuz I paid him for both eyes. After surgery, I was shocked what he done to my eyes. I was cut all over the place and stitched up very odd and extremely tight. The stitching extended to the sides of both of my eyes to almost my hairline. He made so many cuts on my eye lids and stitched me up pulling it so tight giving my skin the zig zag markings all over the place. He stitched my eyelid creaess, my eyelids, and eyebrow together and part of my forehead for scars cuz he almost made stitches up there. To my left side of my eyes and forehead, I have really ugly scars. The scars to the side of my eyes on on the sides of my forehead looks like a spider web or like a road map. Dr. Weiss left me with two different size and shape of eyes. I am also left with a droopy eyebrow from post surgery follow up in his attempt to fix a deep incision he made outside of my right eyelid crease, he pulled too much skin down cuzing my eyebrow to drop. Now, can you picture how I look. Dr. weiss also gave me several super huge stitch mark that it cannot be mistaken as just a scar, but a surgical stitch mark. Dr. Weiss horrible skill is horrible and from the mess he made on my face clearly tells me he is dong his training using my face without my informed consent. My eyelid creases are lumpy. I have deep indentions, divots, puncture marks, needle marks on my eyelid, inside my eyebrow, on part of my forehead. If some of you think you got it bad, I think I got it the worst I was used by this doctor as a training subject without my informed consent. I was only 27. Please do your research and don't be suckered into things by doctors. Too many doctors wannabe plastic surgeons cuz of the big bulk that get from it. They don't care what happens to you. They put up a phony face and make you think they are genuinely nice and good hearted people when many just care about the money. I pay for revision eyelid surgery and that problem was never address. This doctor made the uneven inner eyelids worst and loaded my eyes with so many different kinds of scars that skin laser will not be able to remove. He aged me 35+ years.
I do not wish this to happen to my worst enemy and posting just to let others be awared.
I posted some photos on the internet, but my camera is not so good. I am in the process of getting a much better camera so I can show people what Dr. Weiss done to me and I have to live with this each day of my life.
According to some plastic surgery articles, eyelids surgery is the 3rd most pouplar procedure in the United States and this is not surgery that can be done by any doctors/surgeons. It is not a simple procedure as some information may mislead many of you. If you are asian (mongoloid ), you need someone who really have extensive experiences and training. Please check on the internet from time to time for new photos of my eyes. My worst nightmare of botched eyelid surgery would never be as horrible as what happen to me. Not all botched surgeries can be fixed and you need to realize it is on your face where clothing cannot cover it. How can so many scars of all kinds be fixed??? It cannot.
According to some information giving to me by a journalist online that 80% of plastic surgeons' work is done on the body. In my case, I thought I was in good hands cuz I went to an eye doctor who is also an oculoplastic surgeon which actually mean nothing. His surgical skills is horrible and I have no idea where the hell he got the idea that I like to be cut up and stitched up all over the top half of my face . I have super pucker (its like a tight pleat) eyelids and eyelid creases, and pucker eyebrows and part of my forehead is pucker too from his doing.
Botched plastic surgeries have no statistics, but some experts think it is at least 40%. This is based on the percentage of revision work that some doctors/plastic surgeons claim that they have to do for botched surgeries done by other doctors/plastic surgeons.
Dr. Richard A. Weiss is truly evil. I am still hoping that I can find a plastic surgeons that can make my eyes look more normal, but I know the all the horrible scars he left on my face is permanent. It is true that I am very scare to let just any plastic surgeon to touch my eyes cuz the trust is gone from what Dr. Weiss done to my face. Some of the less deep surgical scars may not show up on the pictures. It is the deeper ones that will appear on pictures. In person, people can see it within a foot standing from me. I am a walking bulletin of horrible eyelid surgery gone wrong.
Dr. Richard A. Weiss evilness go beyond the operating room. He comes onto my online complaints and uses fictious names to state that he is a wonderful surgeon which most people know that it is written by the doctor himself. He even attempted to blame the mess on the first surgeon stating that I already had a botched eyelid surgery previously. Eyelid unevenness is so common with eyelid surgery, but massive scars of all kinds is not common & I find Dr. Richard Weiss a very sick of person cuz God or the higher power knows he is the one that done so much harm to me. Dr. Weiss is a shameless scam artist whom uses his association to a charity organization for free promotion to his practice. He stole my hard earn dollar and didn't perform surgery as I request and used me as a training subject without informed consent. He is the worst of the worst.
