Hi plasticsurgery.... If you decide to have a Nose job abroad, your surgeon will explain the surgery process to you he or she should also inform you about the risks involved. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor any questions you may have, especially those regarding your expectations and concerns about the results. Your surgeon will give you specific instructions on how to prepare for surgery, including guidelines on eating and drinking, smoking, and taking or avoiding certain medications. __________________ Plastic surgery overseas

Hello there. I hope that my reply is not that late yet or, perhaps, now you're already enjoying your "new nose." Anyway, the most important thing in getting a nose job is not only the fact that you should be both mentally and physically prepared for that, but also you should have the most reliable and best doctor to do it. Make sure that your surgeon is a credible and very knowledgeable in the procedure. There should be no room for error in this aspect. Good luck!

Hi! Hope this reply still applies to you. Anyway, rhinoplasty (or nose job) is one of the complicated procedures and requires a lot of preparation both physically and mentally. It's good to consult first to a good rhinoplasty surgeon so that he/she can tell you about the risks and how you should prepare for it.

I had almost this very experience, so can identify with what you're asking. The ortho who treated me said surgery would get me a better outcome for my underbite, but agreed to take me on as a non-surgery patient. I got a very satisfactory outcome with braces alone and the results have been stable for a few years now. At least one of the orthos who posts here regularly would offer the comment that what mightn't have seemed possible in the past without surgery, is now being achieved with braces alone. Perhaps he - or others suitably qualified to comment - will chip in to give you some reassurance. what are the risks of getting a surgery?

If you are planning to have surgery your biggest concern should be the final outcome. Will your life be improved by the procedure or do the risks outweigh the rewards? No surgery is risk free, but understanding the possible complications can help you make a better decision. Immediately before your surgery the surgeon will meet with you and explain the potential risks for your surgery. This process is called "informed consent" and is absolutely necessary, but happens too late to assist in planning. A discussion of risks should take place well before the day of surgery. One of the best ways to lower risk is to choose a surgeon who performs the procedure regularly in a facility that is familiar with both the surgeon and the surgery. PLASTICA DE MAMAS
