How much does a Facelift cost in the US?
-
Wednesday, October 21, 2009 2:13 AM
Hello everyone In two months time, I will have facelift and upper eyelid surgery. My surgeon is considered the country's best and has patients fly from all over the world for surgery, including as far as the UK. As a result, his fees are high. I'm wondering how much it costs in the US for such a procedure? I'm assuming that because medical insurance is so high, the price is very high, but am wondering if anybody is comfortable sharing such information. The total cost for the facelist and upper eyelid surgery, anaesthist, operating fees, night nurse for one nights etc is about US$28,000. Is this on a par?? Thanks!

I am not sure about the exact cost of Facelift in united States. It varies based on the following factors. - Surgeon’s fee
- Hospital or surgical facility costs
- Anesthesia fees
- Prescriptions for medication
- Post-surgery garments
- Medical tests

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the average cost for a blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery) in 2011 was $2,630 & the average cost for a facelift was $6,408. These costs were for physician/surgeon fees only and do not include other fees related to the surgery, (e.g. surgical facility, anesthesia, medical tests, prescriptions, etc.). Because a facelift and blepharoplasty can be performed at the same time, the surgeon's fees may be reduced.
*Always seek the advice of your plastic surgeon, physician, or other qualified health care professional concerning treatment of your specific medical condition.
