Kerala is one of the best places for tourism as it offers immense attractions to all tourists irrespective of their inclinations. Kerala tourism is very famous due to many reasons. The nature of Kerala is pleasant and is welcoming. It is rich in wildlife, has abundant backwaters, beaches, hill stations, temples etc. It also has abundant ayurvedic centers that offer treatment for a lot of ailments and general massages. It also has a rich culture and traditions that have never failed to attract tourists.

Kerala has high mountains, gorges and deep cut valleys which present an ideal location for trekking and camping. One can have great trekking experiences in the grasslands of the Western Ghats at Munnar and Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The land of Kerala is protected by the natural barriers of high mountains and thick forests. Some of the most spectacular trekking routes are provided by the mountains to those who come in search of adventure to Kerala. A trekking tour through the forests of Kerala includes fun filled experiences such as relocating campsites, crossing over lakes on bamboo rafts and covering a distance of 20-30 km per day. During trekking one gets to enjoy the beauty of the majestic tropical forests and the mighty mountains outstretched across the Western Ghats while supporting within the numerous forests and water bodies. Munnar, a wonderful trekking destination offers an altitude of 7000 feet and the soothing eco-system of the Shola grasslands. The presence of tea plantations, forests, wildlife, valleys and mountains in Munnar make the trekking experience an unforgettable event.
