I have not heard of this procedure, but I would suggest talking to your family physician or OB/GYN to see what there feelings are. If they suggest that you should not breast feed, I would not panic. There are wounderful formulas out there with a lot of research backing them up. I would do multiple consults on this one to make sure that baby is safe. I do know that many women successfully breast feed with silicone implants. Where did you have this procedure done? was it in the USA

There is a book on the subject "Safety of Silicone Breast Implants" by the Institute of Medicine. Chapter eleven is a discussion on the Effects on Pregnancy. Might be a book you want to page through.

Hi,

10 years ago when I was young and dumb I got silicone injections in my breasts which is a old procedure in the states but still done over seas. I am now pregnant and was wondering if it would harm my baby if I were to breastfeed. I saw a plastic surgeon today who has seen several women over the years with this procedure and he said my baby should be fine. I would like to get a second opinion. I know there is not a problem with the implant but being that mine is not inside a shell I was just curious. Thanks
