Many women suffer from back pain due to large breast size. From your description, she sounds like she has a very small frame which would make it hard for her body type to support a D size cup. It is definitely a possibility that insurance could cover the cost of a breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty. You may have to get a referral to a plastic surgeon from you primary doctor (it depends on your insurance; with HMO, a referral is usually required). However, you may also just try to see a plastic surgeon; consultations are often free of charge. If you need help finding a plastic surgeon that specializes in breast reduction check out the following link:
http://www.plasticsurgery.com/doctorsearch/basicsearch.html
If you want to read more about breast reduction, you can visit the following
http://www.plasticsurgery.com/procedure-Breast_Reduction/article/info.html

Hope this helps

Breast reduction and Medical Insurance (wjmay)

My wife is 24 years old, 5'4 tall with a D cup breast. She is complaining about back pain, she slouches and walks hunched back. Besides that, she doesn't even want me to see her naked because she is uncomfortable with her breasts and nipples. We want to consult a doctor on the back pain and headaches that she gets, but want to know if there is a way to get the doctor to refer us to a plastic surgoen and have our medical insurance pay for a breast reduction, or at least, partially pay for it.

How would we go about getting the wheel rolling ?
