Please provide your opinion on my result after skin graft to lips (sugarbee)

Hi,
Had this procedure done three months ago and it has left me with a significantly smaller mouth. My natural smile was very broad...now I can barely open my mouth wide enough to bite into a sandwich and when I try to smile my top lip curls under and my lower lip is pretty much immobile.
My PS says that things will soften over time but I cannot see how it will ever come close to regaining it's original width. Can anyone give me some insight into this? I'm a little freaked out because I've never heard of any type of procedure to widen a mouth! Thanks very much for any input!
