Hi Kate!

3 Months total for a facelift is quite adequate in order for the majority of the healing to be done. The 10 day time frame for you to return to work is considered a "normal" estimate, however there will probably be a few small signs of your surgery at that time. This small bruises and swollen areas can generally be covered up with a good concealer and the swelling should go down enough by that time to give you a low to moderate puffy appearance similar to what you might have after having dental work done.

HI! I'm contemplating a facelift and am under a tight time schedule to have it done. My questions are about the recovery time. The face lift procedure he described to me would involve a cut into the hairline above my ears and down to the ear itself. He also said I needed laser to get rid of the lines all around my lips. My surgeon said there would be 15 days prep time in which he would do peels, lympatic drainage, and the first laser treatment. The after the surgery, I would be in bandages for 3 days, then would be back to work 7 days later, totalling 10 days. I'm thinking I'd still be bruised and swollen after only 10 days, wouldn't you??? He wants to follow it up with 3 more laser treatments, one month apart. Then I will be moving to another country, and thus, unable to do any follow ups. Can you give me a realistic picture of this?? Is it realistic to think I could go back to work 10 days after the surgery? Is 3 months total recovery time adequate? Thanks
