JoanSL -> lower eyelid surgery (2/11/2004 11:51:19 AM)

I was wondering if anyone had done? I am only 23 but have had under eye bags since birth. While reading up on the subject I learned that it can be hereditary. One look at my father and yup! I have no wrinkles- just HUGE suitcases! If anyone has had the procedure, please respond. Thanks

i am also considering getting this procedure. i've been told that it's hereditary but have not researched it enough.

i am 28. any idea how much this procedure would cost?

thanks

When I researched lower eyelid surgery I found the cost to range for $2,000 to $3,000 depending on location.

I was wondering how well this surgery works. I am 20 years old and I am so sick of looking tired all the time. So if anyone has anymore information on this procesure and how long it lasts, it would be greatly appreciated.

Eyelid surgery, which is called blepharoplasty, can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. But consult a doctor about the specifics, because it depends if you have surgery on both your upper and lower eyelids. It's known to refreshed your look, that's for sure...

I would be scared to death to have surgery on my eyes, I would need lots and lots of patient testimonials to make my decision.

Many doctors have websites where they post patient testimonials. You can view them any time!

I recently had a lower bleph done (along with some other procedures) and love the results! As far as how the outcome will be, everyone's body respond differently to surgery so there are no guarantees. I will say the first week or so is a little uncomfortable - no so much from pain as it is from the gooey matter, drainage, and puffiness that develops as a result of the surgery itself. I'm glad I did it! [:D]

Thanks for sharing! It is great to hear about personal experience.
