surgical under wire? - Friday, September 05, 2008 4:05 PM
I was reading about a "surgical under wire" procedure where the surgeon basically creates a bra under the skin. Does anyone have any info on this procedure? How long does it last, how does it compare to just wearing bras as far as comfort?

Do you mean "Laser Bra Lift"? This is where they take tissue and attach it to the chest to provide structural support for the breast.

laser bra lift surgery usually lasts a long time.

Some cheaper alternatives, depending on your wants, would be some apparel.

I haven't been able to find out much about the surgical underwire. I looked on Google but there wasn't much about it. Personally, the idea of metal being implanted so close to "the girls" doesn't sound very safe. Does anyone out there know more about the surgical under wire?

I have never heard of actually implanting a metal structure such as that found in an underwire bra into the chest wall. This does not seem like it would have FDA approval. I think you are refering to laser bra which is still a surgical procedure that uses techniques of both the breast lif/ augmentation and a laser to help maximize results
