Checking credentials

What is a good place to go to or a phone number or website to check a doctor's credentials?

I am wondering this, too. The only thing I know to do is to ask others you know who have had the same procedure you are considering. I wonder if there is a statewide or national board of medical specialists with whom potential patients can check? That is what I am going to look for. Good luck!

The best way to find out credentials is to see if the doctor you are thinking of using has a web-site and to log-on and usually it will have what medical societies he/she belong too.Also, it may have some photos of before/after actual work he/she has done.The surgeon that I am going to use has extensive photos so I can choose the "look" I am going for.Best Regards on the new you!!
