adding volume to face safely? - Wednesday, September 16, 2009 5:06 PM
I am only 20, however I have a thin face and am looking for ways that can help add more volume to it.  I have considered fillers or other surgeries such as cheek implants or fat added to my cheeks.  I guess I just want to know if I am too toung to be considering fillers at all or other options.  I also looked into facial treatments through acupuncture and am wondering if that is a better more natural way to go?

20 is pretty young to be considering facial plastic surgery and you might want to explore more natural options as you suggested. If you do decide to go through with plastic surgery I would avoid getting injections of fatty tissue in areas that you whish to have volume as the results can change over time. Silicone implants would probably be your best option to add volume and shape to your face. You should consult with several different plastic surgeons before you make your decision.
