giant congenital nevus

I've search and search and can not find a surgeon that offers giant nevus removal on their sites. The nevus is located on the back portion of the head. A dermatologist has done tests and it is not cancerous but he don't have the capabilities to remove it , so he is trying to find a plastic surgeon. I am located in Alabama but I will travel to get the procedure done. Could you give me more info on how it can be removed and any surgeons that performs such procedures? Any information is helpful. Thanks

I think that you will be able to find a dermatologist, or plastic surgeon, who will remove the skin lesion, but they may need to do a skin graft depending on the size of the lesion. Do you have any history of Keloid type scaring? If you do, I would rethink the procedure as you may end up with a larger lesion than you started with
