liposuction - Monday, January 30, 2006 5:27 PM
I weigh about 220 will i be a good candidate for liposuction. All my weight is in my upper arms and upper thighs. can you please help me make an decision.

I would always recommend trying to loose weight the good old fashioned way before turning to liposuction. Diet and exercise are the safest way to shed pounds. Liposuction becomes useful when you cannot get rid of weight in certain problem areas. As far as being a good candidate for the procedure... anyone can request to have liposuction. Here is a list of a few things that make you a good candidate for any surgical procedure: 1) you are not a smoker, 2) you are not diabetic, 3) you have normal blood pressure or good control of elevated blood pressure, 4) you have no history of heart attack/ stroke 5) you are not taking blood thinners 6) you are not dependant on steroids.
