Under/Over Muscle Implants - Tuesday, August 07, 2007 5:24 AM
Hello-
I am getting breast enhancement in December and am very excited. I would just like to know the pros and cons of under or over and evenm partial breast implants. Also... saline and silicone. Thank you so much!

If you are young, under the muscle is a good option for you because it will allow you to breast feed later in life if you desire to do so. It is also a better option because it gives a better appearance. The saline is a good option if you are just looking to increase size. If you decide to go with saline, be cautious as you can sometimes notice rippling of the implant under the skin. Silicone is a better option if you are looking to correct shape, symmetry, or other deformities. The silicone also has a more natural feel.

One more thing! If you are going to have the TUBA (transumbilical breast augmentation) to minimize scaring, saline is your only option.
