Tummy Tuck - Wednesday, June 20, 2007 11:29 AM
Hello Stephanie,

My name is Stephanie also. I had a tummy tuck about 13 years ago and I've noticed over the past 6 to 8 months I've started having some problems with my navel. It bothers me a good bit of the time and gets sore. I clean it every day and usually use peroxide on it. What's going on?

I would stop using the hydrogen peroxide to clean the skin. Gentle soap and water with your daily shower should be plenty! Cetaphil is a very mild skin cleanser that will not be irritating. You can develope an infection in the belly button (not from your surgery). You may want to see your family physician to make sure you do not need treatment with medication.
