Tummy Tuck - Monday, November 20, 2006 3:30 PM
I have had a tummy tuck 6 mos ago, I must admit I thought I knew everything I needed to know but no one told me of the lost of feeling, and my dr tells me that the large bulge that I have above my belly button , below my rib cage is normal, by the way it gets very hard and uncomfortable as the day goes on. I am flat from my belly button down which I was not before the surgery ( Happy for that). I had no lipo, he said that should be down later. I quess I am curious it is normal to have lipo after and have you ever heard of someone having a bulge that is hard afterwards, my stomach was very soft and a lot of skin hanging before surgery (lost 90 lbs) 267 to 175. Should I consult with some else for a 2nd opinion?

tummy tucks cannot fix everything, but if you feel that the results are less than what you expected, you should have a second opinion. As far as lipo and tummy tucks, It is common for them to be performed at the same time. Some physicians may prefer to perform one procedure at a time to allow the body to heal. Give yourself some time to recover, usually the results get better as the weeks go on.
