Tummy Tuck and Liposuction - Tuesday, April 07, 2009 11:15 AM
hi stephanie.
was looking for your help with this question. i am thinking of having a tummy tuck and liposuction to my love handles. i was wondering is there a minimum weight that you have to be for these procedures? i am a UK size 16 which is an American size 12. I have lost about 5 stone through diet and excersise and wanted to compliment my progress with these procedures. everywhere i read though says you should be at your ideal weight for these procedures. by bmi standards i am still overweight but i am happy with myself now and don't wish to lose any more weight - just get rid of these fatty areas. what do you think - am i a suitable candidate?

Congrats on your weight loss. It sounds to me like you are the perfect candidate. You have made some healthy life style changes prior to seeking plastic surgery. I think this is key to achieving your best results. Continue with your healthy habits prior to and following liposuction and tummy tuck to make sure you maximize results. Good luck to you, let us know how it turns out.
