Red Nail Polish Makes Me Feel Stronger!

Just like everyone these days, I'm paying off credit cards and figuring out alternatives to my usual splurges. My bi-weekly mani and pedis and monthly facials are put on hold, as I realize that together, these services I love reach nearly 100 bucks!
But I'm not willing to abandon nail care and skin care, so I am trying at-home microdermabrasion kits and giving myself manis and pedis. Yes, it's more work, but I feel great knowing that I cut back on (technically) frivolous purchases. And as I type, looking at my red nail polish, I realize that I don't have to pay others to make me feel strong and sexy, I can do it myself! And darnit, I think I did a fabulous job on my fingernails and toe nails. Plus, I was able to watch marathon episodes of Law & Order. I can't do that at a nail shop!

I would agree! Home manicures and pedicures are a great way to save money! I just tried out the 5 minute french manicure pen kit from Sally Hansen and was impressed! They give you a white tip pen which is very easy to use. I would skip the natural nail color and just use the top coat though. It gives a nicer result!!

And I'm sure you probably saved a good amount of money from doing it yourself! Of course, I DO love the massages you get when a pro does my nails...BUT I like doing it myself once in awhile AND saving money in the process. But as I type, the red is chipping. Time to re-coat tonight!

Great way of saving money. Nowadays you can learn to do almost anything on the internet free. Have you tried a research on youTube on "How to manicure myself?" o such as that?
Have you tried black nail polish? :P
