Nose Surgery? - Friday, September 23, 2011 3:40 AM
I am thinking about having nose surgery when I'm older since my nose is too long and crooked. Is there any bad things that would result in surgery such as breathing problems or anything painful? Also, how much does nose surgery usually cost around??

Thanks in Advance.

Nose Surgery (rhinoplasty) is one of the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedures.  Some common side effects include swelling, numbness, and bruising around the eyes and nose.  However, these side effects are temporary.  Complications, such as difficulty breathing, are rare.  The first 24 hours following a rhinoplasty is typically the most painful; however, surprisingly there is very little pain after a rhinoplasty and most patients require only mild pain medication.  Although the healing process is gradual (it may take up to one year to see the final results of your surgery), you are may enjoy your new look within weeks of your surgery.  In 2010, the average cost for a rhinoplasty was $4,314 (Source:  American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons).  Our sister site, iEnhance.com, may provide you with additional information concerning rhinoplasty.  I wish you the very best!

Nose surgery also sometimes referred to as “nose reshaping” or a “nose job,” more improves the appearance and proportion of your nose, enhancing facial harmony and also self confidence. Surgery of the nose may also proper impaired breathing caused by different structural abnormalities in the nose.

a friend of mine underwent a nose surgery to an inexperience surgeon. It really damaged her face.. good thing a surgeon from Virginia was able to correct all the mistakes that were done by the first surgeon.
