I am interested in doing a facelift, but would like to see before and after pictures before I finalize on it. Can somebody point me out to some good sites?

Re:Need advice on Facelift - Friday, April 10, 2009 4:16 PM
HI!  I'm contemplating a facelift and am under a tight time schedule to have it done.  My questions are about the recovery time. The face lift procedure he described to me would involve a cut into the hairline above my ears and down to the ear itself.  He also said I needed laser to get rid of the lines all around my lips.    My surgeon said there would be 15 days prep time in which he would do peels, lympatic drainage, and the first laser treatment.  The after the surgery, I would be in bandages for 3 days, then would be back to work 7 days later, totalling 10 days.   I'm thinking I'd still be bruised and swollen after only 10 days, wouldn't you???   He wants to follow it up with 3 more laser treatments, one month apart.  Then I will be moving to another country, and thus, unable to do any follow ups.  Can you give me a realistic picture of this??  Is it realistic to think I could go back to work 10 days after the surgery?  Is 3 months total recovery time adequate?  Thanks

Hi Kate!

3 Months total for a facelift is quite adequate in order for the majority of the healing to be done. The 10 day time frame for you to return to work is considered a "normal" estimate, however there will probably be a few small signs of your surgery at that time. This small bruises and swollen areas can generally be covered up with a good concealer and the swelling should go down enough by that time to give you a low to moderate puffy appearance similar to what you might have after having dental work done.

All The Best,
Audrey

A traditional facelift is used to tighten the skin in the neck, jaw, and lower face. The eye area and forehead are not altered by this procedure. Any pain that the patient may have following surgery can be controlled with the use of oral medication. The immediate recovery period for most people is one to two weeks."

Plastic surgery under chin and hairline behind the ear before the incision is involved, and how to head back inside the capillary, so that his skin and muscles around the lower face and with. And lifting of eyebrows raised and mouth with eyelid surgery can get going with rejuvenated in a balanced way to ensure every face. And this week take to fully recover, as there may be bruising and some swelling. After surgery you work with at least 1 week should expect. Mini face lift recovery with less aggressive weekend. Some just take a little away - soon to be made include hard, even with a little less time provides quick results, and the last face lift, where her connective tissues under the skin and muscle stress has not as long. Many information about cosmetic surgery, face lift patients before and is operated Web sites with photos later. If you take a face - are considering, do your research and trust that you are aware of this as all-inclusive. In addition, non-surgical - facelifts and alternative therapies that help you look years younger and can add your self-confidence to look at.

Kate,
The post-operative protocol for every surgeon is different.  10 days is indeed too early, especially after undergoing LASER resurfacing of the face.  Good luck!
