Male tummy tuck, then what - Tuesday, October 21, 2008 9:18 AM
I am about 1/2 way to my 'goal weight' of loosing 150 pounds. I'm a 39 year old male and I'm wondering what would happen if, after I loose the wieight, I had a tummy tuck to get rid of the excess skin. I started out over 340 pounds and my main concern is gaining it back (typical type A, haven't lost it yot and already stressing about gaining it back!) If I do decide to have a proceedure, will I be able to work out like before? I hate doing crunches so will this give me an excuse not to do them anymore?

No excuses now. You need to keep doing the exercises. Not only to keep the weight off but to just stay healthy.

Congrats on all the weight loss! That is an awsome accomplishment. Surgical procedures can be done to remove excess skin, but it can keep you from doing exercise until you heal. I would plan on taking 2-3 months off of the crunch schedule
