Lumps in breast before implants - Friday, October 09, 2009 10:06 PM
I have recently been considering getting breast implants but have some concerns.  My breast have always been an uneven size.  My left breast is a whole cup size larger than my right.  I am currently at a small C and a small B.  A couple of years ago i developed a boil in my right breast that had to be lanced and I was left with a scar.  I have deep scar tissue under the site and have developed quite a few lumps since that incident.  I have had ultrasounds done on both breasts and multiple medical providers have told me that they are not dangerous or anything that I should be concerned with.  My question is, if I do get implants, will the scar tissue or the lumps interfere with the results?  Or is there a procedure that has to be performed beforhand or can be performed beforhand so that the appearance is not altered or misformed.  Any advice would help... Thanks Guys!

I don't think that it would change your results too drastically. The plastic surgeon would probably do a scar revision to make sure that you had the best outcome possible. It would however be harder to get accurate breast imaging with implants. Hope this helps
