Laser bra surgery?
-
Wednesday, March 09, 2011 11:35 AM
So recently I've started considering options for a breast aug, and between the variety of implants / lifts / different gels I've been having a hard time deciding. Recently a PS in my area suggested the new "laser bra" technique. There are no implants, the nipple isn't effected and I can still get my lift back. After doing some research I'm thinking this is what I want to go with since it is natural, the recovery seems pretty easy and it can always be combined with other procedures. Has anyone used this in the past? or have any feedback on it? Please let me know what you think.

I had Laser Assisted BR and bra surgery. A Laser Assisted Breast Reduction can include a Laser Bra or not. The Laser Bra is used to lift the breast and can be used alone with augmentations and with breast reductions.

Isn't it the the procedure developed to prevent women from having breast lift over and over again? I am under the impression that laser bra lift is purposely developed to prolong the effects of the "initial" procedure...can anyone clarify this?

Alfalfa, this technique was created by board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Grant Stevens. In this procedure, the excess skin that is usually discarded in a traditional breast lift is treated with a laser and attached to the chest wall to support the breast and give it longer-lasting shape and position. According to Dr. Stevens, "The whole point of The Stevens Laser Bra is to create a beautiful, longer-lasting and more permanent lift of the breasts to enhance breast lift and breast reduction surgeries."
*Always seek the advice of your plastic surgeon, physician, or other qualified health care professional concerning treatment of your specific medical condition.

A laser bra surgery is part of a breast augmentation, your surgeon inserts the breast implants through an incision and positions them in the desired placement location. The doctor then applies energy from a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser to the outermost tissue layer, creating an internal bra to support the remaining tissue and implant. The laser bra can’t be seen or felt. It uses your own breast tissue to provide enhanced internal support.

How is Laser Bra Surgery Performed? Laser Bra Surgery joins surgical techniques and laser skin technology to create a natural-looking lift to the breasts. It is sometimes confused with a Laser Breast Lift, which can be performed as a completely non-surgical treatment. However this form of the procedure won't be as effective for patients with more pronounced sagging or larger breasts. The Laser Bra Surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. The procedure needs that incisions be made at almost the same points as in breast augmentation surgery or breast reduction surgery. Then, excess skin is removed and, rather than being discarded, it's arranged underneath the breasts to form a type of internal bra. The CO2 laser is used to perform "pedicle deepithelialization," a process that removes the epidermis layer so that the underlying dermis can be removed and restructured as an internal bra.
