Laser Liposuction Question - Revision - Sunday, April 12, 2009 4:04 AM
Stephanie,
Last year I had tumescent liposuction in Fort Lauderdale.  When doing the area near my belly button - the pain was excruciating.  I was awake for the procedure - so while the doctor attempted to do what he could - I couldn't withstand the pain enough.

Fast forward 9 months.  I've been to the gym daily, watch my eating, and as a consequence have lost 36 pounds.  I have a strong fourpack in my upper abdominals.  But - right where my belly button is... there is a clear "bump" of fat that extends left and right.  The whole thing ruins the look I was trying to achieve - and no amount of 1 1/2 hour aerobics and daily weight lifting seems to impact this "bump"

I'm not willing to undergo the pain of another tumescent - 2 weeks recovery and no gym time... plus work wouldn't allow it... last year I had a "special opportunity" due to a company sabbatical - that I do not have again.

I'm wondering since the spot is so small - rougly 5 inches across and 2 inches high - if there is another less problematic surgery that could remove it?  I've heard laser lipo is for small area's - is this considered a small area?
