Stephanie, Have you heard about the licensed acupuncturist Mary Studenny who takes care of patients post operatively in LA? I've heard how great she is from 3 of my friends, and they are difficult women who really like everything perfect! She stays with them in the hotel of their choice or in their homes and her services include everything from massage, acupuncture, guided meditations, supplements, whole food nutrition...of course she handles all of the necessary medical issues as well. Was just wondering if you had heard of her. Since her training is in Chinese medicine, she treats the patients holistically and my friends have told me how quickly they healed when she was providing the aftercare. She also prescribes a PRE operative regimine of supplements for quick anesthesia clearance. Good stuff, just wanted to share it with others and check to see if she's know around town. Thanks.

My only caution: make sure your physician is aware of the pre- surgery care and supplements. Certain herbs and vitamins can cause a bleeding tendancy. You would want to avoid this before undergoing surgery.
