Help - deflating implant - Saturday, November 29, 2008 8:56 PM
Hi Had salene breast implants about twn years ago. I noticed that my left breast is smaller and flatter at the top. It has to be defkating. I am so upset as I have a vacation booked in three weeks. I am going to see if I can get in to see a plastic surgeon on Monday but in the meantime I am freaking out. I have a couple questions.

1. Will it deflate way more or is it possible I can leave this until after my vacation to deal with it - it is not overly obvious?

2. If I am able to get into surgery right away, will I be healed enough. I know when I had them done before I healed quite fast. They were under the muscle.i assume that since I had them before under the muscle it would already be separated.

Please help. I need advice. I cannot cancel my vacation.

Hello travelqueen!

It is possible that the change in the shape of one of your breasts is due to a shifting of the implant (especially if it is under the muscle) instead of a deflating, your Plastic Surgeon will be able to tell you for sure. If you are not feeling any discomfort and feel ok about how you look, then your doctor will probably tell you that you can go on your vacation and take care of it when you get back. It's important that you go see your doctor before your trip though, just to be sure that if there is a problem, you get it taken care of in the safest way possible.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation! Stop back in when you return to share some photos of your trip... we all love to see the many adventures of fellow implant owners! :D
