Fat grafting instead of facelift - Sunday, January 29, 2006 12:29 PM
This is a before and after of my friend who just had fat grafting due to a combination of things; age, acne scars and a botched laser resurfacing. The erbium laser left not only burns but vaporized the fat in his face leaving depressions. After a round of seeing the best surgeons in the world to fix the damage, he settled on fat grafting with Dr. Sydney Coleman in NYC. After the consult ($500) he happened to meet the doctors new associate Dr. Alesia Saboeiro and clicked with her. In a leap of faith on his part he had her do the surgery and the results are amazing. He is 50 years old and looks to be in his 30's. He had no other procedures...no nips or tucks, implants or other fillers (nothing was done to the neck). The results are permanent and at 10 weeks his skin is actually looking healthier by the day. He spoke and met with some of Colemans patients that were 8 years out after surgery and experienced only a 10% fat loss over that time. Since Saboeiro is personally trained by and works side by side with Coleman (the only surgeon ever to do so) if follows that the retention rates will be comparable. My friend is obviously besides himself with the results and wanted me to post the pics to share his good fortune at finding a great surgeon with a good eye.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for sharing your friend's experience and his before and after photos with us.  He looks GREAT!  And I'm sure he feels great with his results, too.  Dr. Saboeiro is a board certified plastic surgeon and one of our members here at PlasticSurgery.com.

We would love to write a featured story about your friend's results from this plastic surgery procedure.  These type of stories are great to help others who may be in a similar situation.  If he would be interested in having a having us do this, please let us know.

Thanks again for sharing your friend's experience with us.  Please give him our best.

Anna

Fat grafting is better option as seems from the pics from your friend for him. Both are useful procedures and both removes lines from the face.

this was a really quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a good article
