Anyone here who has tried Eyebrow tattooing? What could be the possible benefits and consequences of this beauty move?

Hi Stef.  Eyebrow tattooing (also called cosmetic tattooing) is also called permanent makeup.  This can be used to enhance facial features or correct problems with skin pigmentation.  Some of the most common permanent makeup procedures include permanent eyeliner, permanent eyebrow definition, lip liner, and lip color.  One of benefits from permanent makeup includes having more defined eyes, eyebrows, and/or lips without having to apply makeup (thus saving time in the makeup application process).  In addition, this is a great option for those who wish to wear makeup but have allergies to cosmetics or suffer from skin disorders or other reasons which prevents them from wearing makeup.  Usually a topical numbing agent or anesthetic injection is used to numb the area prior to the tattooing.  Most people experience some discomfort during the procedure.  Afterwards the treated area may be a little sensitive and swollen for a couple of days.  It is also possible that a scab will form, but this will usually heal within a week.  As with any invasive procedure, infection is also a risk.  However, keeping your skin clean afterwards and following your doctors orders will usually help avoid post-treatment infections.  We highly recommend you choose a physician adequately trained and experienced in permanent makeup application.  Let us know if you need help finding a specialist in your area.
