Do You Use Natural Cosmetics? - Tuesday, October 05, 2010 10:57 PM
Do you use natural cosmetics? I do! If you don't then I will give you 2 points why you should switch to an all-natural make-up foundation, lipstick, mascara, etc.

1. Lower Risk of Having a Breakout - Make-up is definitely skin damaging even if they say it has minerals, vitamins, etc. With an all natural make-up, there is a significant decrease in the risk because it doesn't contain artificial additives that are very bad for the skin. The best way to stay away from breakouts? Remove your make-up immediately when you get home.

2. Cost Effective - instead of using chemicals and other oil-based ingredients in the market, natural cosmetics are manufactured with cheaper ingredients. Think about it, if they both offer the same result then I don't see the logic in going natural.

Any thoughts?

To cover our blemishes and make us look and feel pretty we use cosmetics, but unfortunately some of the make up products that we use may also have ingredients that are harmful to our delicate skin. Good thing there are natural organic cosmetics, which we can use as alternative to the traditional cosmetics that we have gotten used to.
Although these traditional make up products usually promise to be very safe to use and non-comedogenic, meaning there are no components that can block the pores and cause pimples. But in the long run, after a long time of using such there will still be an adverse effect on our skin because they were not all natural.

There are a lot of things you could use as natural cosmetics.  And yes I do use them and I love that they are so cheap!

The trick is to know what works and how it works.  Like papaya for example, a lot of people are saying that it dries your skin... but there are also those who say that it moisturizes your skin.
