Browlift
-
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 10:56 AM
Seven years ago, I had brow lift surgery. The surgeon made the incision just above each eye brow. The actually scarring is not that bad. However, I’m not happy with the depression that is now above the eye brow, and is especially prominent when I frown. I’ve consulted w/other Plastic Surgeon. Apparently the surgeon who performed the surgery did not remove enough of the muscle above the eye towards nearing the top of my nose. Hence there is a lot of muscle pulling when I frown, and during just normal expressions. Is there anything that can be done to correct the problem? I’ve become extremely self-conscious, and cannot look at myself in the mirror. Thank you.

Hi TomD. I'm sorry you are experiencing this problem. It's hard to say what can be done without seeing you. Do you have any pictures that you could post to better show the depression you described? When you consulted the other plastic surgeon, what did he/she say? I don't know which PS you consulted, but it would be important that he/she is board certified in plastic surgery and has a lot of experience with facial plastic surgery.
*Always seek the advice of your plastic surgeon, physician, or other qualified health care professional concerning treatment of your specific medical condition.
