Each doctor will be different. It also depends on the implant, if you are having a lift, and what type of facility your procedure is done at. I would say on average they cost aabout $5000 $6000.

The costs vary depending on what type of implant you are getting (silicone vs. saline), whether you are getting a lift as well, and the big one, what city the surgery is taking place in. Plastic surgery in Iowa is going to be alot cheaper than in Beverly Hills.

Not sure where you live but I've heard Dr. Schwartz in Dallas does a good job on breast implants. He has a pretty cool photo gallery that shows before and after pictures from each of the different procedures he offers, which also includes: tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation, and facelift surgery.

He also has a weekly radio show that he hosts in the dallas-fort worth area, and has a blog where he discusses the ins and outs of the various procedures he performs.

Breast Augmentation in US costs $5000-6500 for Saline while $6000-8000 for Silicone.  However, you may also choose to have your plastic surgery done in other countries for a more affordable cost.  In Argentina both Saline and Silicone costs around $5000.  It is already an all-inclusive package.  Quality of medical procedures abroad are the same or even higher than that in the US but they are more affordable.  You will find Board Certified Plastic Surgeons abroad and modern clinics and hospitals that has stat-of-the-art facilities.

I always try to stress the point that going out of the country could make follow up and any possible problems with the procedure much harder to deal with.

I think $5000-$6000 is very expensive. Is there any other place in USA where I can get this done at lower price?

I would question anyone who promises extremely low prices! After all you are paying for an operating room, anesthesiologist, the procedure, and the implants! Its actually a pretty good deal.

That is a very important point about not having adequate follow up if you travel for a cosmetic procedure. It can also be difficult to fully verify the credentials of a surgeon in another country.

Even in the U.S. there are plenty of doctors advertising services and performing procedures without proper training. But, at least here it's easier to identify those who actually have board certification in plastic surgery from the appropriate credentialing organizations. Don't forget that you also need to check the credentials of your anesthesiologist, too.

A friend of mine likes to say, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." Of course, he's a mechanic and he's talking about auto repair, but the principle applies. The money you initially plunk down for a surgical procedure is only one aspect of the overall cost, and if you treat it as the most important aspect, you may regret it. Start with making sure your doctor is qualified -- not only in terms of certificates on the wall, but look at his previous work. Better yet, talk to his previous patients if possible. If you find more than one doctor with whom you feel truly comfortable, who is technically and aesthetically qualified, and who will ensure that you are fully and properly educated about the pros and cons of what you're considering (all the while listening carefully to what YOU want and looking for the best ways to get you there), then you might start comparing prices. But your health is too important to gamble on bargain basement elective surgery.

Breast implants at a reputable clinic in Mexico run around $3200 all included http://plasticsurgerymexico.plastica-medica.com.mx/

You can check to make sure a doctor is board-certified in Mexico through the Mexican Council for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive surgery.  http://www.cmcper.org.mx/sitio/index.php?lang=us

Wow, Princess; that's a scary post. I got a shiver when you asked, "what is the cheapest that i could find?" I can understand not wanting to overpay for just about anything, but does your wallet really come before your health? As much as breast surgery has been mainstreamed, there are still plenty of things that can go wrong, plenty of which affect you personally. It's bad enough if you choose an auto mechanic on a low-ball price and have to get your car fixed twice (imagine what that does to the cost), but imagine if you were the car. Better to look for several surgeons who are skilled and credentialed, with whom you feel comfortable, and then worry about which of them will give you the best deal if you must.

I'm guessing, based on your question about age limits, that you aren't worried about being over any maximum age limit. I believe saline implants are FDA approved for patients of at least 18 years, silicone for 22-and-up. Reconstructive surgery would present an exception. You don't want to be getting breast surgery before they've finished developing, and I understand that the changes that take place during pregnancy can wreak havoc on augmentation results as well.
