Hey everyone, I'm 15 years old. I'm thinking I want to be a plastic surgeon when I get older....any pointers or anything? I'm still not sure if I want to be or not. I dunno, I guess I just wanna know a bit more about the profession.

If you want to be a plastic surgeon, you should talk to your school counselor about colleges that offer pre med degrees. You will need to go to four years of undergraduate college and it would be helpful to major in something like biochemistry or biology. You should volunteer at hospitals while you are in high school to see if you like the work environment. After your undergraduate degree you will need to attend medical school and later apply for plastic surgery residency. Good luck with your career goals! It is never too early to start planning for the future
